People with back pain can get relief from yoga. Just doing half an hour of yoga already has many benefits for the body. Simple yoga poses can also give better results. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi conducted a study on 108 patients to know the effect of yoga on back pain.
Patients in the study were divided into two groups. One was made to do yoga, the other got medicine and general excise. In this study that lasted about 8 weeks, it was found that the patients who did this yoga saw more improvement in them. In addition, an increase in the ability to tolerate pain in the brain was also found.
According to Dr. Renu Bhatia, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology, AIIMS, a study was conducted at AIIMS in patients with chronic low back pain. The patients were divided into two groups. One of these groups was given medication and exercise, while the other group had to do yoga. The study found that those who practiced yoga regularly benefited more.
