Cancer Awareness Week was celebrated at Safdarjung Hospital from February 4 to 8. The supervisors of the patients and the patients who came to other departments were also screened. It found many patients who presented with other symptoms, including breast, head and neck, mouth, cervical and prostate cancers. For these patients, other investigations are performed, including mammography. In this regard, Dr. Kaushal Kalra, the Node Officer of the Department of Oncology, said that many programs were organized to raise awareness of cancer among patients.
