The Kashmir Files entry in Oscars 2023


Los Angeles, January 12. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the names of the films nominated in various categories of the Oscars 2023. The special thing is that five Indian films have also been nominated in these categories. Apart from India’s official entry, The Last Show (Chello Show), the names Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Iravin Nijhal, Kantara and RRR are also included in this list.
Although the Film Federation of India had chosen India’s Gujarati film Chello Show for the Oscars 2023, the production houses of many films independently submitted their claims for the Oscars 2023 in the For Your Consideration category. After which Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files and SS Rajamouli’s RRR were nominated.
Apart from this, several other films have also received nominations for Oscars 2023, including Marathi film Main Vasantrao and Tujhsa Saathi Khai Hi, Kannada film Vikrant Rona, Tamil film Iravin Nijhal and R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect . . Shaunak Sen’s documentary All That Breathes and Kartiki Gonsalves’ documentary The Elephant Whispers are also nominated for the 2023 Oscars.
Rishabh’s film Kantara has been nominated in two categories: Best Film and Best Actor. Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “The Kashmir Files on The Academy’s first list to be shortlisted for the Oscars.” I wish everyone the very best. It’s turning out to be a great year for Indian cinema. Actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallav Joshi, who starred in the movie The Kashmir Files, have been nominated in the Best Actor category.
All 9,579 eligible voting members can begin voting Thursday, January 12 at 9:00 AM PST (10:30 PM PST) and end January 17 at 5:00 PM PST (Indian Standard Time) through January 18 at 6:30 PM PST. am) voting ends.
