Riteish Deshmukh's Vade becomes second highest grossing Marathi film


Bombay, January 18. Released on 30 December 2022, Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film Ved broke all records to become the second highest grossing Marathi film at the box office. The film has collected a total revenue of Rs 47.33 crore in India in 17 days while making a total of Rs 53 crore worldwide. The 2016 romantic drama Marathi film Sairat still ranks at number one and has collected around Rs 110 crore worldwide.
Earlier, Vade had set a new record as the highest opening Marathi film after the pandemic. In this film, the couple Riteish and actress Genelia D’Souza can be seen again on the screen. Vade is a remake of South Superstar Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s smash hit film Majili. The romantic action film also stars Jia Shankar, Raviraj Kande, Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Tawde.
