Mumbai, January 06. Released in 2021, Pushpa: The Rise by Allu Arjun caused panic at the box office. Directed by Sukumar, the film created several records and became the highest grossing film of the year 2021 (around Rs 350 crore). After its theatrical run, the film was released on the Amazon Prime Video online streaming platform. However, now the film broke box office records not only in India but also abroad.
Pushpa, which was released in Russia on December 8, has achieved record-breaking business. The film has earned one crore rubles (approximately Rs 1.4 crore) in 25 days at the Russian box office. The film thus became the highest-grossing South Indian film in Russia, surpassing Baahubali 2. Pushpa also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. According to reports, the film’s sequel will start shooting in the third week of January.
