A petition has been submitted to the Patiala House Court on Wednesday to register an FIR against the wrestlers who are on strike in support of their demands at Jantar Mantar. Wrestlers sit on a dharna demanding registration of an FIR against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). The case is likely to go to court on Thursday.

The petition has leveled accusations against Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik over alleged sexual harassment allegations against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, using foul language against the Prime Minister. It has been said that all the allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh are false. Such accusations are made under pressure from someone for personal gain.

It is further said that the accused wrestlers also play in international tournaments. None of them were physically or otherwise weak to withstand the alleged crime. So it is hard to believe that he was harassed by a 66-year-old man. The petition states that none of these wrestlers had previously protested the alleged harassment, filed a written or oral complaint, or filed a case with the police department, women’s helpline, or state women’s commission. The protest of the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar was only created to put unnecessary pressure on the police and the court.
