The news of the death of three Russian citizens one after another in Odisha is mysterious. If official information is to be believed, then it is just a coincidence. But chance is such that many questions naturally arise in the mind. Odisha police has reported that another Russian was found dead in the state on January 3. The deceased Russian national has been identified as Milyakov Sergey. His body was found on a ship anchored in Paradip harbour. Sergei MB, 51, was the Aldnah ship’s chief engineer. The ship was en route from Bangladesh via Paradip to Mumbai. According to the police, he was found dead in the room of his ship around 4:30 am. Police have not said anything about the cause of death at this time. It has only been said that the matter is under investigation. Earlier on December 24, 65-year-old Pavel Antonov was found dead in a hotel in Raigarh, Odisha. Antonov is said to have died after falling from the third floor of the hotel. Antonov was found covered in blood outside the hotel.
Just two days before his death, another Russian national, Vladimir Bidenov, 61, died in the same hotel. Citing the autopsy report, police had said Bidenov died of a heart attack. However, Odisha police had also questioned two more Russian nationals who traveled with Antonov and Bidenov in connection with these deaths. Antonov was not only a leader, but also a great businessman. Although a member of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party, he was a strong critic of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian media, Antonov criticized the Russian invasion of Ukraine on social media, calling it an act of terrorism. If doubts about his death arise against this background, it is not misplaced. Although the police do not attach any importance to these doubts, the mystery remains.
