Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi Marlena, two big faces of the Aam Aadmi party, joined the Arvind Kejriwal cabinet today. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Saurabh Bhardwaj can be given the responsibility of many key departments including Urban Development, Water Department and Ministry of Health. Atishi Marlena may be given the responsibility of Energy and PWD together with the Ministry of Education. Kailash Gehlot can be entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance, which was under Manish Sisodia. At the same time, the BJP attacked by saying that every decision in the Delhi government is made by order of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, so changing faces will not curb the corruption in the Delhi government.
Why Saurabh Bhardwaj became special
Seen as a trusted assistant to Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bhardwaj is a lawyer by profession. As the chief national spokesperson, he responds to any attacks against the government of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi party. He became a minister in 2013 when Arvind Kejriwal first formed the government. But after nine years, he again has the responsibility to lead the ministry.

The health model of the Delhi government has proved to be an important pillar of Arvind Kejriwal’s politics. Arvind Kejriwal always tried to make it a big issue while running his political campaign. For Saurabh Bhardwaj, the challenge will be to bolster the credibility of Arvind Kejriwal’s government by doing a better job in the health services.
Atishi was the real architect of the Delhi model
After Rakhi Birlan, Arvind Kejriwal’s government got a female minister after nine years. Atishi Marlena, highly educated from Oxford, is said to be the real architect of Delhi’s educational model. While an associate of Manish Sisodia, he had transformed Delhi’s government schools by studying the education system of many countries. Since Arvind Kejriwal’s politics were dominated by his educational model, he wanted to entrust the responsibility of this ministry to the person who could not only maintain this model but also bring it forward more strongly. No one else could have fulfilled this need of Kejriwal better than Atishi Marlena. This is why Atishi Marlena became Arvind Kejriwal’s first choice as Education Minister.
Changing faces won’t make any difference – BJP
Delhi Pradesh BJP spokesperson Sarika Jain told Amar Ujala that Arvind Kejriwal takes every decision of the Aam Aadmi party, so changing face will not affect the functioning of the Delhi government. He said that Arvind Kejriwal is also the real mastermind of the liquor scam in which Manish Sisodia has been arrested. The work that Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain did for them till now, now Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi Marlena will do the same job so there is little hope that the people of Delhi will get any relief from the face change.

BJP leader Sarika Jain said that the people of Delhi can only get rid of the Aam Aadmi party’s corruption if Arvind Kejriwal himself resigns and confesses his crimes before the investigative agencies. He said that sooner or later the whole truth of this matter would come out and the capital would be free from corruption.
