Expansion
Nitish Kumar meets with opposition party leaders about the 2024 election, seen as his claim to the post of prime minister. But in the meantime, another leader, Arvind Kejriwal, embarks on a nationwide campaign to meet leaders of opposition parties. The Aam Aadmi party has called it an attempt to unite all parties against the ordinance issued by the central government in Delhi. But as the Aam Aadmi party has repeatedly attempted to portray Kejriwal as a strong contender for the position of prime minister, this is being linked to the next election.
What is the party plan?
Sanjay Singh, MP from the Aam Aadmi party, told a press conference on Monday that his party will try to gain public support across the country for the central government’s ordinance. For this, Arvind Kejriwal meets Mamta Banerjee on May 23. In this sequence, Arvind meets Kejriwal Uddhav Thackeray on May 24 and Sharad Pawar on May 25.
This effort by the Aam Aadmi Party is important because the central government does not have a majority in the Rajya Sabha. The central government’s ordinance for the transfer of officers in Delhi cannot be passed in parliament alone. For that he needs the cooperation of the opposition parties.

But if Arvind Kejriwal manages to win over all opposition parties in the meantime, it will be a great message of unity to the opposition parties ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections. Since this initiative will be led by Kejriwal, he can emerge as an important leader of the opposition.
At the same time, if Arvind Kejriwal and Nitish Kumar fail to bring all parties together on this issue, it will also raise big questions about the unity of the opposition parties. The BJP never misses an opportunity to publicly present this as a disagreement between the opposition parties.
It is not easy
Political analyst Santosh Kumar said many things are not clear in politics. Manje leaders judge their political status by such steps. Similarly, by starting a campaign against corruption, Kejriwal has already reached the post of Chief Minister. If he can stop the adoption of the Center’s ordinance in parliament, his political standing among the leaders of the opposition parties will suddenly become huge.

However, given the political acumen that the Center has shown in the past in approving the highly sensitive bill, this will not be an easy task. If the central government fails to pass the bill, it will be a great defeat for it even before the Lok Sabha elections and the central government will never allow it, so it will show its full political smarts to pass this to approve the regulation.
Kejriwal has beautiful dreams
BJP leader Harsh Malhotra said Arvind Kejriwal’s political ground has shifted in Delhi itself. If he then also reports in the race for the post of prime minister, it will only be called a dream. He said that the people of the country are firmly behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the country wants to see him as prime minister again. The BJP leader claimed that they will win all seven seats in Delhi with a larger majority than before, in such a situation the unity of the opposition parties is useless.
