Indira Gandhi International Airport has been awarded the cleanest airport in the Asia-Pacific region in the category of more than 40 million passengers per year. At the same time, the Airports Authority of India’s Tiruchirappalli International Airport has ranked first in Asia in the category of airports with less than 2 million passenger capacity.

Airport Council International (ACI) has presented the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award 2022 for this. The ASQ Awards recognize airports around the world that are known for providing excellent service to their passengers. Director General Luis Filipe de Oliveira said Tiruchirappalli Airport received this award as a result of the collective effort of the staff.
