Metro services will start from 2.30pm on all lines of Delhi Metro on the occasion of Holi on Wednesday. However, due to maintenance works in the section between Rajiv Chowk and the Central Secretariat on the Yellow Line, the subway works will remain closed until the night. Passengers walking from HUDA City Center can only travel as far as the Central Secretariat. Passengers traveling from the other side of Samaypur Badli can only travel to Rajiv Chowk on Wednesdays. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has advised commuters to use alternative routes during this period.
Passengers traveling on the Yellow Line can continue their journey on the Blue or Violet Line by alighting at the station for travel beyond Rajiv Chowk or Central Secretariat. Violet Line can be used to travel directly between Kashmere Gate and Central Secretariat. Those traveling on the Blue Line can take the Violet Line subway from Mandi House to Central Secretariat and continue on the Yellow Line.
DTC also after noon.
At the same time, the advice from the DTC headquarters says that bus services will remain suspended until 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The buses will run on all routes from 2 p.m. Because the traffic pressure on this day will probably also be less. Therefore, only 25 percent of the buses will be put into passenger service and buses will only run in the evening service on a few selected routes. Cluster buses also only run after 2 p.m.
