In Bonta Park, Civil Lines, North Delhi, a young woman along with her family stabbed a civil engineer with a knife. The youngster, Gautam Chowdhary (25), was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, from where he was referred to LNJP Hospital. Police have reported attempted murder and arrested Gautam Chaudhary’s fiancé Sadhna (19) and her 15-year-old brother.

Gautam, a resident of Darbhanga in Bihar, befriended Sadhna through social media. The marriage of both was also fixed. Gautam’s family alleged that the girl refused to marry Gautam after she exploited him financially. When Gautam pressed to get married, the accused summoned him to Delhi and committed the crime. Police are looking for several other suspects in the case.
