The police reached the information and removed the dead body and sent it for autopsy. The students trapped in the elevator were also safely rescued.

According to the police, a PCR call came in around 8:22 p.m. on Saturday night. The caller told that it is students climbing the bridge from the elevator that broke the elevator, we are stuck in the elevator and one of the elevator gates is broken. According to information, in addition to the police, the team of the District Disaster Management Authority, Delhi Fire Service reached the spot and rescued the three students who sought help from the elevator. Also, upon inspection, the team discovered that an unidentified 25-year-old man was trapped between the wall and the elevator machine at the entrance of the elevator on the floor of the pedestrian bridge.
