Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has asked the CBI for a few days, citing concerns about finalizing the budget. As finance minister, he described his role in drafting the budget as very important. In fact, the CBI had summoned him for questioning in the liquor policy case on Sunday, describing the CBI’s subpoena as politically motivated. He said the Supreme Court order came on Friday regarding MCD’s mayoral election and that he received the subpoena from CBI on Saturday.

AAP leader and deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia claimed that the BJP wants revenge on the people of Delhi for being defeated in the Supreme Court in the MCD case. The delay in the budget will be a loss to the public. He said that the BJP should not take revenge on the public, but on them. On the other hand, he urged the CBI and said that since it is the last week of February, every day is important for budget preparations.

He urged the CBI that he is in the process of finalizing Delhi’s forthcoming budget. Therefore, every day is very important. He continuously tries for 24 hours to prepare Delhi’s budget before the end of February and send it to the central government for approval. Therefore, the CBI can call for questioning at any time after the end of February or after. He will cooperate fully and answer all their questions. The CBI had called him Sunday for questioning about the liquor policy.
