The admission process for Nursery, KG and Class I in private schools in Delhi is in its final stage. Now, the application process will commence from March 1 for admission into the Nursery, KG and First Class of Government School (Sarvodaya) of Delhi. Offline applications for admission to these classes can be submitted until March 15. Only children residing in Delhi are eligible to apply for admission. Preference is given to children who live within a radius of one kilometer from the school.
The Education Department has ruled that under no circumstances should schools refuse a child to submit the form. If there is no school within a radius of one kilometer, children within a radius of three kilometers are eligible for admission in such a situation. If the child lives more than three kilometers away, the director will take a statement from the parents for the safe transport of the child. The Education Department issued guidelines on Friday for admission to nursery, KG and first class. According to the guidelines, parents can collect the admission form from the Sarvodaya school in their area.
Parents can deposit the form in the drop box in the school from 8:30 am to 11:30 am in morning shift schools and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm in evening shift schools. If the forms are received according to the class requirements, the lottery will not be drawn.
