In this case, SI Ravi Rana of Mehrauli Police Station appeared in the Supreme Court as the investigating officer. When the court asked the investigating officer some questions regarding the case, he was unable to answer.

On this, the Supreme Court said that this matter should be brought to the attention of the Commissioner of Police. A senior officer of the Delhi Police said that when this matter came to the knowledge of the Commissioner of Police, he heard very loudly the officials involved from the southern district. He also called Meenu Chowdhary, Joint Commissioner of Police, South Range, who always kept his distance from the media, to police headquarters.

A senior South District officer said Chandan Chaudhary, South District Deputy Police Commissioner, called the president of Mehrauli Police Station PC Yadav and Mehrauli and ACP Vinod Narang to the Hauzkhas office on Thursday morning. He beat them both off for about two and a half hours. It is said that by Mehrauli police the district has become very dirty.
