The problem of drinking water has arisen in the New Delhi area. NDMC has said that it is constantly getting drinking water from Delhi Jal Board in small quantities with very low pressure. Water is only available once a day. This has created a drinking water crisis in many of its areas.

According to NDMC Jorbagh, Bharti Nagar, Kaka Nagar, Bapa Nagar, Pandara Road, Pandara Park, Lodhi Colony, BK Dutt Colony, Vigyan Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Kidwai Nagar, Ravinder Nagar, Khan Market, Amrita Shergill Marg , Prithvi Raj Road, Gol Market, Kalibari, Mandir Marg and surrounding areas are not getting adequate water supply. This has created a drinking water crisis in these areas. This has led to outrage among the population.
