New Delhi. Wrestlers on strike in Jantar Mantar performed a candle march from Jantar Mantar to India Gate on Tuesday after a month’s completion. In view of this, the Delhi Police had taken extensive security measures. Paramilitaries were deployed in addition to police officers. In addition, traffic police personnel were also deployed along the entire route to keep the traffic system running smoothly, but during the march there was a long queue of vehicles on many routes of New Delhi.

The Delhi Police have not officially authorized nor denied the candle march in Jantar Mantar. A senior official said about 500 protesters are likely to take part in the march.

The candle march was allowed to move from Jaswant Singh Gol Chakkar to Mansingh Road, Duty Path intersection. During the march, security personnel were seen walking with the demonstrators.
