Gang rape and assault with a minor, case registered

New Delhi. A case of assault and gang rape of a 16-year-old girl has come to light near Anand Vihar ISBT. After getting the information on Thursday, police reached a meeting with the girl who was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital for examination. Patparganj Industrial Area Police Station has launched an investigation by registering a case under gang rape, POCSO, assault and other sections.

The police victim lives in a shelter in southeastern Delhi. When his health deteriorated, he was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. During treatment at the hospital, the doctors learned that the girl had been gang raped. The victim, who reached the information of the case, told the police that she came with her friend near Anand Vihar metro station on January 9. Both stayed there late into the night. The suspect took her to a remote place near ISBT. Here he and his friends violently raped her. He was beaten up for protesting. The victim said she was also raped earlier in Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, UP.
