Passengers can now also use Airtel Payments Bank to top up Delhi Metro smart cards. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)’s partnership with the company will enhance passenger convenience. This is considered an important step in terms of Digital India and financial inclusion.

According to Anuj Dayal, Executive Director (Corporate Communication), DMRC, with the introduction of this facility, it will be very easy for the passengers to recharge the smart card. Passengers can now use a more reliable option to top up the card via mobile phone. The transaction will be completely secure. Card or internet bank details are saved once via the app, which shortens the charging time.
