Delhi’s former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday withdrew his interim bail application pending the Supreme Court in connection with his wife’s illness. Sisodia argued that the warrant regarding his regular bail has been reserved and his wife’s illness has improved. Sisodia, who was arrested in February for alleged irregularities in the 2021-22 Excise Policy case. He had applied for provisional bail for six weeks to care for his ailing wife. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are investigating the cases against him.
