Delhi: LG approves establishment of surrogacy medical council in all 11 districts, these officials will sit on the council

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the establishment of District Medical Boards (DMBs) in all 11 districts of Delhi for surrogacy. It is approved by the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act-2021 and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under Section 4(3)(A)(1) notified on December 25, 2021. On this basis, a medical board will be formed in each district. If the board desires surrogacy, the board will issue a medical certificate to the prospective couple, the wife, or both members.
