Railway has given a big gift to Sikh followers. He will now be able to travel to his famous Sikh pilgrimage sites on the Bharat Gaurav tourist train. The Yatra was specially designed after consultation with various Gurdwaras, Sikh Gurus and various Sikh associations. During this 11 days 10 nights journey devotees visit Kesgarh Sahib Gurdwara and Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib, Patalpuri Sahib in Kiratpur Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib in Sirhind, Akal Takht and Golden Temple in Amritsar, Damdama Sahib in Bathinda, Takht in Nanded Zal can visit Sachkhand Hudhur Sahib, Guru Nanak Jheera Sahib at Bidar and Harmandar Sahib at Patna.
678 devotees can travel in this special train. On the occasion of Baisakhi, Guru Kripa Yatra will be performed with a special Bharat Gaurav tourist train. This train departs Lucknow on April 5 and will return to Lucknow on April 15. The tourist train has 9 sleeping carriages, 1 AC-3 carriage and 1 AC-2 carriage, 1 pantry carriage, 2 generator carriages. Passengers can also start their journey in Lucknow, Sitapur, Pilibhit and Bareilly and return at these stations.
The price of tour packages starts from Rs 19,999 per person. The themed tour is operated by the Railways to promote India’s cultural and religious heritage. The tour package includes travel in a dedicated coach, meals, hotel accommodation, sightseeing vehicles, tour guiding, travel insurance and onboard security and housekeeping.
The travel fare in an AC three coach is Rs 36196 per person while AC-2 travel costs Rs 48275. Similarly, traveling in a standard bus costs Rs 24,127. If more than two tickets are taken on this bus, Rs 19,999 per person must be spent. Traveling with children between the ages of 5 and 11 will be charged Rs 18882 per child. For taking more than one ticket in AC 3, the travel fare is Rs 29999. Similarly, Rs 39999 will have to be spent for travel in AC 2.
