Expansion

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal dedicated another BR Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence in Rohini Sector 18 to the people of Delhi. With this, the number of schools of excellence has now increased to 37 in Delhi. This school is one of the best schools in the country. From April 14, the process for studying at this school will start.

On this occasion, the prime minister said that the facilities and infrastructure are better than those of well-known private schools such as DPS, Goenka. There was a time when children of the poor studied in government schools, they had an inferiority complex. Now the children of Delhi proudly say that they study in government schools. The Delhi government had a new type of experiment that was successful. The children of this school prepare for special subjects from group 9 onwards.

Children learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and gain expertise in 21st century skills. The Chief Minister informed that 92 thousand students have applied for admission for about 4400 seats in such schools for the 2023-24 academic session. Such a long queue does not seem to be seen even for many reputable private schools as seen for admission to Delhi Government’s specialized public schools.
