MCD employees have received a gift from the Delhi government. The government has released about Rs 2,000 crore for the salaries and funds of the MCD employees. MCD got a cut of it on Wednesday. Soon the company will also get an additional Rs 460 crore.

Here, Rs 730 crore was immediately released from the funds received by the MCD from the Delhi government for the salary and pension of the employees. As a result, all employees received their salary until December.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has released approximately Rs 2,000 crore to the MCD under Basic Tax Assignment (BTA) for salary and pension of retired employees. Sisodia said this would allow MCD employees to get their paychecks through the month of January and would give them a great relief. In this regard, a high-level meeting was held with the Deputy Chief Minister, MCD and Government officials of Delhi.

On this occasion, Manish Sisodia said that the interests of the workers were always neglected in the BJP-ruled MCD and they were not paid salary for months. Before the election, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had given a guarantee that after the formation of the AAP government in MCD, all employees would receive their salary on time and now we are fulfilling that guarantee.
