CISF personnel deployed to Indira Gandhi International Airport have found amphetamines in the bag of a woman who went abroad. The accused woman had hidden the drugs in seven different boxes that held three women’s purses and bracelets. According to officials, the value of the drugs recovered from the woman is estimated at Rs 4.78 crore.
The woman has been handed over to the employees of the Narcotics Control Bureau. A CISF official said CISF staff found suspicious movements of a female passenger in the check-in area of Terminal 3 on March 9. Staff monitored the female suspect’s movements and later took her into custody. During investigation it turned out that the name of the female passenger is Saeeda Abida. She had come to Delhi airport to board a Qatar Airways flight to Doha.
CISF personnel passed his bag through the X-ray scanning machine during check-in. Something suspicious was found in the bag. The jawans became suspicious when they saw something like powder in the bag. After this, a check of the machine showed that there was an amphetamine drug in the woman’s bag. During a search, 2.39 kg of drugs were found in it. CISF officials have communicated this to the Narcotics Control Bureau.
