The 2nd FICCI Industry Academia Conference 2023 was hosted at Mandi House. Scholars, industry experts and students from various educational institutions of the country participated in the event hosted at the home of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Meanwhile, the development, research and innovation of advanced education system and related industries were discussed in several sessions. Amar Ujala played the role of media partner in this important event.

The inaugural session was organized on Friday morning under the chairmanship of FICCI Director General Arun Chawla. This was followed by panel discussions on various topics in three sessions. The first session featured a panel discussion on the partnership between industry and academia for research and innovation.

It included Dr S. Sundar Manoharan, Director General, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Dr Vishal Talwar, Director, Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad, Dr Satya Prakash Dash, Founder, BITS Bio-Cytic Foundation, Professor Abhay Kapoor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi and Ken-Bala MS, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, 42 participated. The economic development of the country, Make in India, educational research and innovation available to the young educated class were discussed.

Internships and a favorable environment for startups were also discussed. Pro. Abhay Kapoor said that many universities in the country are developing Business Incubators (UBIS) and Innovation Centers. The second panel discussion was based on the topic of Digital Transformation in Higher Education – Industry-Academia Partnership for Online Teaching and Learning.

It was attended by Dr. Rajni R. Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International, Raghav Gupta, Managing Director, India & APEC, Kamakhya Vikram, India Head, Education, TCS, Parikshit Markandey, Officer, Times Pro and Avantika Tomar, EY Parthenon. During the session, new approaches and solutions to the changing needs and expectations of students and educational institutions were presented. Dr. Rajni R. Gupte said that digital technology has completely changed higher education.
