The petitions committee of the assembly, in its report presented at the house on Thursday, alleged that the lieutenant governor conspired with the chief secretary and officials to discredit the Delhi government. For the MCD elections, Mohalla Clinic’s retirement pension and fund was discontinued. The Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary, Health Secretary and Social Welfare Director were found guilty of the commission’s investigation.
In the House on Thursday, Chairman of the Petitions Committee Akhileshpati Tripathi and member Saurabh Bhardwaj presented the report regarding pension and Mohalla Clinic in the House. On this occasion, Tripathi said that the Lieutenant Governor stopped pension of 4.10 lakh elderly people by threatening the officials.
During the investigation, under the confidentiality clause, the officials told that the Lieutenant Governor had ordered the system shut down by the Delhi government. The 2,000 rupees pension for the elderly includes a grant of Rs 200 from the central government, which the central government does not give for a year and a half. Such callous officers should never be given any responsibility on the front line.
It should be recorded in their service records that they are careless and insensitive people. The information should also be given to the President of the Lok Sabha. The strictest measures must also be taken against such people.
The Minister of Health and Finance stopped the money
Saurabh Bhardwaj said the Chief Secretary got the Health Minister and the Finance Minister to stop the money from the departments. For the MCD election, Mohalla Clinic doctors’ salaries, tests and medications were halted. The intention behind this was to benefit the BJP in the elections. He alleged that IAS officer Pooja Joshi conspired to suddenly halt the pension before the MCD elections.
Grand IAS officers of Delhi have created a heinous act where the poor, old and widows berate the government in grief and the BJP is taking advantage of this in the MCD elections. First Secretary Naresh Kumar, despite knowing everything, gave protection to the officers who messed up in this way. In the Mohalla Clinic report, the petition committee found Health Minister Amit Singla and Chief Secretary Ashish Chandra Verma guilty. LG’s role in Mohalla clinics and pension matters is considered highly suspect.
AAP MLAs target LG
The Delhi government and the Aam Aadmi party also continued the process of gheraoing the lieutenant governor in the General Assembly on Thursday. During this, after discussing the law and order of the capital, he addressed the Lieutenant Governor. The AAP’s MLAs alleged that the lieutenant governor paid no attention to stopping the ongoing crime in the capital. Earlier, the AAP MLAs caused a stir in the House and Assembly buildings by accusing the Lieutenant Governor of slowing down health services and organized a sit-in in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
During the public order discussion in the capital in the Vidhansabha, Minister Gopal Rai specially shed light on the Kanjhawala incident. He said the suspect continued to drag the girl for 10 to 12 km, but the police could not be located at all. Not only this, the police did not act even after giving information about this from some people. This proves that the police are rampant. The Lieutenant Governor is fully responsible for this. Former minister Rajendra Gautam said drugs are being sold in the capital.
AAP MLA Rajkumari and Pramila Tokas said women are not safe in the capital. He also presented some statistics. At the same time, as soon as House proceedings began, AAP MLAs caused a stir by accusing the Lieutenant Governor of influencing health services. He also demanded the suspension of the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Finance and Health Secretary. As a result, the chairman had to suspend the sitting of the House twice.
Meanwhile, the AAP MLAs staged a sit-in at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the assembly building. AAP MLA Atishi said that the Lieutenant Governor is constantly halting any work of the Delhi government through the Chief Secretary, Chief Finance Secretary and Health Minister. MLA Dilip Pandey said that the Chief Secretary, Finance Principal Secretary and Health Secretary are working against the interests of the people of Delhi in coordination with the Lieutenant Governor.
State BJP made allegations by writing a letter
BJP state spokesman Praveen Shankar Kapoor has written a letter to Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena saying the speaker should answer why MLA Mahendra Goyal brought the money and waved back. Why didn’t both the government and the Speaker of the General Assembly protest when the MLA showed the money? Why was the black money not confiscated? Why has the Delhi government not ordered an investigation even after 24 hours of exposure of the recruitment scam? How was the permission to bring illegal money to the house and take it back, why the income tax or AKB was not called and the money was seized.
Meanwhile, Raj Niwas officials say Sisodia’s accusations against the Lt Governor for delaying the Clean Yamuna project are outright lies. With this, the official said that the NGT has exposed the contemptuous neglect of the Supreme Court and the Yamuna River by the Aam Aadmi Party.
