To ensure the development of Delhi’s villages, the Delhi Rural Development Board approved 136 projects on Monday. Under it, roads, sewers, water bodies, community centers, parks, crematoriums and sports grounds and other important works will be carried out. The government will spend around Rs 175.54 crore for this.

According to Development Cooperation Minister Gopal Rai, the Delhi government is working hard to improve the infrastructure of the villages. After completion of the new project, the villages will be rejuvenated. Earlier on Monday morning, a meeting of the Delhi Rural Development Board was held at the Delhi secretariat. It was chaired by Gopal Rai. In this, the board members raised the issue of pending rural development proposals. Thereupon, Gopal Rai ordered the departmental officers to complete the files related to the development projects of the villages of Delhi within the time limit.

At the same time, the Chief Executive Agency for Rural Development Works asked the Department of Irrigation and Flood Control to prepare project estimates within the deadline. At the same time, the approved projects must be completed quickly. He informed that 136 plans worth Rs 175.54 crore were approved at Monday’s meeting.
