The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has drawn up a blueprint for the development of the capital for the next twenty years. The draft Master Plan-2041 emphasizes housing and inclusive development for three million inhabitants. Protection of the environment will be central to the development of all infrastructural facilities. The master plan also includes provisions for entertainment and restaurants.
The draft Master Plan-2041 was approved on Tuesday in the board meeting of DDA, chaired by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. It is now being sent to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Notice will be issued upon approval from there. According to the draft, land pooling policy, integrated public space with residential and social infrastructure, additional floor area ratio in ancient societies and additional houses will be built using all possible options to meet the housing needs of Delhi.
Will also provide parking
DDA will also offer parking facilities in addition to all its housing projects. Not only this, the master plan also proposes the development of apartments, hostels, PGs, work housing, rental housing complexes. Old houses can also be renovated to meet current needs.

- According to the design, the names of husband and wife will be together in the housing unit subdivision. This will ensure women’s ownership.
pollution will be reduced
Special provisions have been made in the master plan to control the increasing pollution in Delhi. In addition, more emphasis will be placed on the development of green areas. Environmental standards must be observed in every project.
- Efforts will be made to coordinate all modes of public transportation to reduce vehicle pollution. Connectivity to the end customer is also provided.
- The draft also includes provisions for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Efforts will be made to promote public transport rather than private vehicles. This will reduce the pollution level.
