The special police cell has apprehended a scoundrel who sold more than 4,000 vehicle engine and chassis numbers in a decade. The suspect is close to Manoj Bakkarwala, a notorious car thief from North India. In one case, the police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for his arrest. The suspect has been identified as Shamim alias Pilla, 40, a resident of Summer Garden, Meerut. The suspects also have ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs. Gang member’s brother was arrested in Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
