Patparganj industrial police station not only solved the mystery of the murder in a very professional manner, but also identified the deceased and reached his relatives. On January 3, the police even found the body of a young man in the bushes near Anand Vihar bus stand. The face of the deceased was so crushed that it was difficult to even identify it.

Police identified the deceased as Salman, 25, a resident of Bhajanpura, by taking his fingerprints. He had four criminal cases registered against him. When the police searched the CCTV footage from the day of the incident, the lead of the suspect was also found. Based on this, the police arrested Faisal and Tauseef, residents of Shaheed Nagar, Sahibabad. Search is underway for Salman (others) with his third.

Amrutha Goguloth, deputy police commissioner of the Eastern District, said that after identifying the deceased, police arrested the suspect using CCTV footage. During the interrogation, Faisal and Tauseef told that Salman was a thief. He used to get angry very quickly. He used to beat up the thugs who used to commit crimes in and around Anand Vihar to bully them.

Many times he had also attacked Tausif, Faisal and Salman. The day before the murder he had killed everyone. Then these people conspired to kill Salman. On the night of January 2, these people drank alcohol in Seemapuri. Later everyone came to Anand Vihar. Salman again abused Tauseef, Faisal and Salman. The suspect then took Salman to the bushes and attacked him with a large stone. His face was later crushed to destroy his identity.
