San Francisco, January 07. James Cameron’s movie Avatar: The Way of Water shakes the box office to its foundations and continues to break records. Now on Wednesday, the film has surpassed Top Gun: Maverick’s worldwide collections. Now Avatar 2 has become the highest grossing movie of the year 2022. The film was released in cinemas worldwide on December 16, 2022. Avatar 2 still manages to draw audiences to theaters.
The James Cameron film collected a total of Rs 4.25 crore at the Indian box office on its 20th day of release. The film has so far made a total revenue of Rs 350.15 crore. Avatar 2’s global box office collection has crossed Rs 12,300 crore in 20 days. It has also become the eighth highest-grossing film of all time. Top Gun: Maverick earned around Rs 12,218 crore worldwide.
